Location : Remote (Work from anywhere in the United States!)
Schedule : Must be able to work after school hours (Eastern Time Zone) 3PM - 8PM. Must be available 15-20 hours per week.
Who We Are : My Virtual Academy is a Michigan-based online education provider that partners with school districts nationwide, offering a comprehensive and accredited learning program. Through these partnerships, we engage with students in grades K-12, aligning our curriculum with State and National Standards using Edmentum® and supplementary materials to foster critical thinking and lifelong learning.
Our team of experienced educators collaborates with each student to craft a personalized learning plan tailored to their unique pace and needs.
Position: My Virtual Academy Afterschool Tutor
Responsibilities :
Monitor and Tutor : Conduct weekly sessions in reading or math for assigned students in K-8th grade, offering guidance and support.
Educational Planning : Develop personalized Educational Plans based on initial assessments.
Parent & Student Communication : Maintain weekly contact with students and parents to discuss progress.
Virtual Labs : Organize engaging virtual lab sessions to enhance the learning experience.
Progress Documentation : Keep detailed records of weekly interactions with students and parents.
Partnership Liaison : Update school district partners on student progress as necessary.
Tech Troubleshooting : Offer technical support as needed to ensure smooth online learning.
Qualifications : Bachelor's Degree : Required.
Education Field Experience : Prior experience in the education field is preferred.
Technology Proficiency : Prior experience with technology-based education programs, such as Reading Eggs, Exactpath, Genius, is preferred.
Pay Rate : Bachelor’s Degree : $16.54 per hour Standard Michigan Teaching Certificate : $20.95 per hour
