Assistant Women's Basketball Coach

Direct Supervisor: Head Women's Basketball Coach

Status: Part-Time

Division: Athletics

Location: 2807 N Glebe (Main Campus)

Target Weekly Hours: 20

Job Summary:

Assist the Head Coach with recruiting, scouting and practice planning.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform competition day duties as assigned, and monitor equipment inventory and care.
• Assist with practice and competition day management and activities.
• Assist with organizational planning (travel, community service, study hall, etc.), and support player development and assist with roster management.
• Help with the planning and organization of camps and clinics.

Other Duties and Assignments:

• Know and comply with all NCAA rules and regulations, and pass the NCAA Coaches Certification Exam annually.
• Must be CPR and First Aid certified.
• Provide positive leadership for student-athletes.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree, master's degree preferred.

Experience: 1 to 3 years of basketball experience.

Licenses or Certifications: CPR and First Aid certified.

Special Working Conditions:

Ability to travel; heavy lifting required (50 pounds and over); may be required to work when the University is closed. Ability to work nights, weekends, and some holidays.
