Boeing Commercial Airplane Customer Support is hiring an Associate Flight Operations Engineer to join the Airplane Flight Manual (AFM) team in Seal Beach, CA.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain and obtain regulatory agency approval for Airplane Flight Manual data necessary for the safe and efficient operation of Boeing airplanes,
Investigate and analyze engineering databases, documents, specifications, and change paper to determine customer airplane configurations,
Use basic aerodynamic knowledge along with a knowledge of certification requirements and customer expectations to prepare Airplane Flight Manuals using web-based document authoring applications,
Coordinate review of the AFM with Engineering- Unit Members and regulatory agency personnel to assure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements,
Support/contribute to the development of new and existing technologies, tools, and processes to enhance technology readiness and reduce cycle time and cost of authoring AFMs.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
1+ years of experience in an engineering related role.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Aerodynamics/Aerospace Engineering Degree
Experience working with the FAA and foreign regulatory agencies
Experience working with industry service documents for commercial airplanes such as Service Letters, Service Bulletins, Maintenance Manuals, or flight operations manuals
Experience in developing and maintaining regulatory manuals
Knowledge of aerodynamics, airplane performance, flight test, and certification.
Strong computing skills, excellent communication skills, and be customer-oriented

Pay Range Summary:

Summary pay range: $79,050 - 106,950
