About ICAP ICAP, part of TP ICAP group, provides a wide variety of execution and information services to wholesale market participants.
We offer broking services covering a wide range of asset classes, including Commodities, Credit, Equities, FX, Money Market Funds and Rates.
For each asset class, ICAP offers e-trading capability, giving clients the option to enter prices and execute trades directly via one of our hybrid electronic trading systems, or to engage with brokers who can identify and negotiate trades.
Role Overview The USD Swaps desk is seeking a Broker Support to join their NYC team. This is an entry level role into the world of Broking and this opportunity can provide the successful applicant with on-the-job training and exposure to the financial markets we operate within. We are ideally looking for a bright and enthusiastic individual that can work autonomously and collaboratively in a small team and can think on their feet. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of highly experienced team and would be perfect for somebody looking to start their career in Financial Services
Role Responsibilities - Promote ICAP
- Ensure timely input of trades into trading systems.
- Resolve any trade queries received internally and externally and ensure any trade discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.
- Keep trade records up to date.
- Update real-time electronic whiteboards with market data.
- Provide input on various projects for brokers and traders.
- Provide trade details to brokers and traders on a daily basis.
- General administrative duties across the desk.
- Monitor markets, keep up to date with financial news and geo-political events that impact the financial markets.
Experience / Competences Essential
- Proficiency in mathematics
- Keen interest in the financial markets and the economy.
