Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Clinical Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in patient care and should feel a strong calling towards providing exceptional support. Your responsibilities include:

• Preparing patients for examinations and treatments by gathering health histories and vital signs.
• Equipping treatment rooms with necessary supplies and ensuring proper sterilization of instruments.
• Administering injections and assisting with lab tests and phlebotomy.
• Supporting physicians in applying dressings and bandages.
• Assisting with scheduling follow-up appointments and patient transfers.
• Coordinating patient physicals and workplace injury protocols.
• Managing incoming referral communications efficiently.

Qualifications:

• Preferred: 1+ year of experience in a clinical setting.
• Proficient in using an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
• Must be a graduate from an accredited Medical Assisting program.
• Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is advantageous.
• Ability to obtain specific federal screening certifications shortly after hiring is preferred.
