POSITION SUMMARY
Reports To:
Practice Manager
Summary:
Perform administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of physician. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, FMLA, Prior Authorizations, and maintaining medical records, Coordinating random drug screens, flu clinics, ordering of medications and supplies and assisting with monthly charges. Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, and administering medications as directed by physician.
Work Schedule:
Must be able to work non-standard work hours
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education
Must be a graduate of an accredited medical assisting program; On-the-job training will be provided as appropriate based on Indiana Administrative code.
Experience
Six months to one-year related experience
Computer Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office, email and basic computer skills for other software used throughout the hospital for your area of responsibility.
Must exhibit basic computer knowledge

Other Requirements
Must obtain the following certifications within 6 months of hire: Breath Alcohol Technician; Urine Drug Screen Collection, NIOSH Spirometry, CAOHC Audiometric, and Basic Respiratory Protection and Titmus machine operation. May take up to 6 months to become proficient in this position. This position requires constant standing, walking, use of hands and fingers, lifting and carrying 0–20 lbs and pushing and pulling 0–12 lbs.
