We are seeking a Data Engineer. This role is centered around designing, implementing, and optimizing data solutions within an Azure environment, with a focus on developing and maintaining Azure Data Factory pipelines, SQL Managed Instances, and integrating disparate data sources to support a data-driven organization.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and implement data models optimized for reporting, supporting a denormalized structure and star schema for business intelligence.

• Create and maintain Azure Data Factory pipelines to integrate and transform data from various sources.

• Ensure data solutions are scalable and aligned with the needs of the business.

• Deliver complex projects on schedule, proactively identifying and mitigating gaps and risks.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to comprehend data requirements and translate them into effective solutions.

• Increase query performance and data processing efficiency within Azure SQL stack.

• Manage data integration and ETL/ELT processes.

• Utilize Azure DevOps for managing data pipelines, deployments, and version control.

• Troubleshoot data-related issues, proactively identifying and resolving problems.

• Combine a deep understanding of Azure technologies with experience to define and implement data architecture strategies that align with business goals and technology roadmaps.

• Ensure data security best practices are implemented, maintaining compliance with regulations.

• Lead the creation of collateral, including reference implementations and best practices.

• Foster a problem-solving culture that resolves issues in a timely manner and through collaboration.

• Serve as a technical mentor to entry level teammates.

• Applicant must possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in the field of data engineering.
• Extensive knowledge and practical experience with Cloud Technologies is a requirement.
• Proficiency in Azure Data Factory is expected.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL is necessary for this role.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps is a critical requirement.
• The candidate should have a background in the Healthcare, Hospitals, or Social Assistance industries.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently are essential.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.
• The candidate should have a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field is preferred.
