Innovation & Mobility Strategy Specialist

Location: Carmel, IN - Relocation assistance available

A leading organization in the transportation and mobility sector is seeking a mid-level Innovation & Mobility Strategy Specialist with 4–5 years of professional experience to support the development of accessible transportation solutions that promote independence and inclusion. This pivotal role will contribute to shaping the future of mobility technology by driving market research , product innovation , and building strategic partnerships within the automotive and mobility industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate across global business units to drive innovation and uncover new opportunities using advanced market research and customer insights .

• Promote strategic innovation practices by introducing tools and processes that foster creative thinking , collaboration , and idea generation .

• Partner with R&D teams to align technical solutions with future market needs in accessible vehicle design and mobility solutions .

• Identify and support strategic partnerships with automotive OEMs , electric vehicle (EV) and autonomous vehicle developers, universities, advocacy groups, and technology leaders to advance next-generation mobility.

• Represent the organization’s vision for accessible mobility at industry events and thought leadership forums .

• Analyze market trends , regulatory trends , and technology trends to contribute to a forward-looking mobility solutions roadmap spanning 5–15 years.

• Support creation of visual and virtual technology roadmaps (“war rooms”) to increase internal engagement and awareness of future product development .

• Work with cross-functional teams on advanced technology projects , translating early ideas into executable strategies .

• Take initiative in advancing projects by solving challenges, implementing long-term process improvements , and integrating new workflows into the organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering , Business , or a Technology-related field .

• 4+ years of professional experience , including 2+ years in the transportation or mobility industry ( product development , program management , strategy , marketing , or market research ).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong understanding of the transportation , automotive , or mobility industries , with exposure to accessible vehicle solutions .

• Demonstrated analytical and research abilities to identify trends and market opportunities.

• Proven creative problem-solving skills to deliver innovative solutions .

• Ability to work independently and inspire collaboration across cross-functional teams .

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to present complex ideas persuasively.

• Strong writing and presentation skills with the ability to translate technical topics into actionable insights .

• Proficiency in MS Office tools including Excel , PowerPoint , and Teams .
