Arterra Landscape Architects specializes in the creation of legacy residential landscapes, from urban settings to estates. Applicants should be experienced and interested on working on large-scale residential projects.

Arterra is focused on creative exploration and knowledge building and places a high importance on mentoring and developing the next generation of design-leaders. At Arterra, our landscape architects work directly with the senior landscape architects on projects from conceptual design through construction.

Landscape Architect Job Description:

  • Supports the design vision for each project
  • Renders conceptual studies and develops 3D models
  • Delivers work product required for design development and construction documents
  • Maintains job files (paper and digital)
  • Assists in identifying and sourcing materials, colors and finishes

Qualities desired for this position:

  • Creative, open-minded, innovative thinking, with a sophisticated design eye
  • Fluent in conceptual sketching and formal hand drawing,
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Sketch-up, Enscape & Vectorworks
  • Knowledge of California plants
  • Interest in new/sustainable materials and technologies
  • Project management experience a bonus

Candidates must meet the following criteria to be considered:

  • BA/BS undergraduate
  • 5+ years of experience in landscape architecture
  • Licensed or in process of licensure
  • Familiarity with Mac OS
  • Authorized to legally work in the US
