Location: Texas & Arizona (Client Locations) Duration: Long term Client: American Airlines Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer with strong expertise in Juniper (Junos OS) and Fortinet (FortiGate firewalls, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer) technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and support of enterprise network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across global operations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). 3–7 years of hands-on experience as a Network Engineer or similar role. Strong expertise in Juniper Networks (Junos OS) including routers, EX/QFX switches, and SRX firewalls. Proven experience with Fortinet technologies (FortiGate firewalls, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiAuthenticator). Solid knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VPN, VLAN, QoS, multicast, and routing protocols. Familiarity with network monitoring and logging tools (SolarWinds, Splunk, etc.). Experience in network security, intrusion prevention, and compliance requirements. Certifications Fortinet NSE 4–7 certifications (preferred but not mandatory). Soft Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Strong customer service and stakeholder engagement mindset.
