Position Summary & Responsibilities The Pipeline Operator will assist with the implementation of DGOC’s Pipeline Maintenance programs, focusing on pipeline integrity, repair, and maintenance. Key responsibilities include: Responsible for all field activities and related pipeline integrity, repair, and maintenance. Conduct facility leak surveys and patrols. Operate, maintain, and test valves. Perform pipeline maintenance activities. Execute remedial actions when operational deficiencies are noted. Conduct various tests, measurements, and surveys to ensure efficient pipeline operation. Pull charts and complete meter downloads on schedule. Monitor pipeline condition through patrols, visual inspections, and field data analysis. Complete special projects, other duties, and annual objectives as assigned. Position Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. At least 3 years’ experience in the gas/oil industry. Experience with pipeline maintenance processes and procedures. Experience with asset data management/work order management systems (EAM/Maximo preferred). Knowledge of applicable State and Federal regulations pertaining to natural gas transportation by pipeline. Excellent computer skills (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel). Excellent verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact with individuals at all levels within the organization. Demonstrated ability to organize and interpret data and solve problems. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Must be able to move or traverse from one location on the job site to another, including standing for extended periods and stooping, kneeling, or squatting as required. Ability to detect, determine, perceive, and judge driving operations effectively, with or without corrective lenses. Ability to operate a 4X4 vehicle. Must repetitively move or position feet, shoulders, arms, wrists, and back; constantly use hands and fingers in performance of work. Must be able to work atop elevated surfaces and traverse various heights. Lifts or carries 75 lbs. or more (over 50 lbs). Frequently pushes and pulls with a maximum force of 100 lbs. Constantly works in outdoor weather conditions and is exposed to varying environmental conditions, including well site conditions; performs tasks in physically demanding environments. Driver Requirements Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Position involves operating a company vehicle for work‑related travel or a stipend for operating a personal vehicle; adherence to all traffic laws and company vehicle policies is required. Candidates must be eligible for the company’s vehicle insurance policy.
