Job Description
Summary :
Help to maintain eight (8) acre Ramona Ranch grounds, facilities and equipment. Assist with animal husbandry activities such as animal handling, feeding and selection for procurement. Assist landscape workers, maintenance personnel and contractors to replace and adjust sprinkler heads, trim weeds, plant, fertilize, mow, clean grounds and landscape areas. Clean, lubricate, adjust, paint, restore, and inspect equipment and facilities as directed by the Ranch Supervisor or designee. Document repair and maintenance activities in the appropriate equipment history files and report the usage of spare parts and supplies to help keep an adequate supply of critical items.
Maintain a neat, clean and organized work area. Work with all Ranch personnel as assigned to promote an ever-improving safe working environment for all employees and ranch animals.
Essential Duties :
Assist Laboratory Animal Technicians with the care and use of all laboratory animals.
Maintain the condition of the animal holding areas and facilities including laboratory space.
Assist the Facilities team with the maintenance of the property.
Repetitive lifting, pushing and pulling with upper and lower body of objects in excess of 125lbs is required.
Regular, reliable and predictable attendance.
May perform other job related duties as assigned.

Job Specifications :
High School diploma or equivalent required. Must be able to work with moderate supervision, multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines. Must maintain confidentiality at all times. Valid driver’s license, current proof of insurance and clean driving record
