We are seeking a Senior Principal Systems Engineer to work onsite in Colorado Springs, CO. The ideal candidate will be responsible for helping ensure the technical, cost, and schedule performance for assigned product teams are properly managed. This role requires a person who has a technical background and who is willing to execute Control Account Manager (CAM) responsibilities. It also requires that the EM can provide technical direction to their team and help solve complex technical problems. This position requires an active Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility. What You Will Do: Specific tasks will include but are not limited to: As one of the Networks and Enterprise Services (NES) Engineering Manager (EM), the candidate will be responsible for helping ensure the technical, cost, and schedule performance for assigned product teams are properly managed. This role requires a person who has a technical background and who is willing to execute Control Account Manager (CAM) responsibilities. It also requires that the EM can provide technical direction to their team and help solve complex technical problems. The EM role is directly accountable to the Engineering Project Manager (EPM) of NES. Qualifications You Must Have: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience. Previous experience working in Missile Defense Agency C2BMC Program. Must be an effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills. Needs to be able to effectively communicate with Engineering SMEs and be able to translate technical details to Program Management and the customer. Experience leading and managing teams that deliver complex DoD systems. Experience executing Earned Value Management (EVM) to include controlling and maintaining costs, schedules, and project scope. Active and transferable U.S. government issued SECRET security clearance is required prior to start date. (with SCI eligibility) U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Qualifications We Prefer: Experience with C2BMC and/or the Missile Defense System. Experience creating, managing, and delivering metrics/Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Experience with Agile Development Processes and tools (e.g., Jira, Agility, Confluence). The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
