Description - Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric age groups using standardized assessments paired with observational insights.
- Create customized treatment plans that cater to both immediate and ongoing communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
- Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions emphasizing communication, language proficiency, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
- Partner with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, family caregivers, and loved ones to develop integrated care strategies.
- Educate patients and their families to enhance progress beyond therapy sessions.
- Occasionally assist with inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity throughout the recovery process.
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
- Stay abreast of industry advancements through ongoing education and collaborative peer learning.
Education - Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.
Certifications - State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.
