Structural and Miscellaneous Steel Detailer

We are currently looking for a talented and experienced Structural and Miscellaneous Steel Detailer to join our team and contribute to our continued success.
Overview
The Structural and Miscellaneous Steel Detailer will play a crucial role in producing accurate and detailed drawings and specifications for our steel products and projects. You will work closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure that all structural and miscellaneous steel components are designed to meet project requirements and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
· Detailing: Create precise and detailed drawings for structural and miscellaneous steel components, including beams, columns, supports, and custom steel fabrications.
· Coordination: Collaborate with structural engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure that all steel details align with project specifications and requirements.
· Compliance: Ensure that all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
· Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including shop drawings, erection plans, and material lists.
· Quality Control: Review and verify drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy and identify any potential issues before fabrication.
· Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any design discrepancies or technical issues that arise during the detailing process.
Qualifications
· Proven experience as a steel detailer with a strong portfolio of structural and miscellaneous steel projects.
· Proficiency in detailing software such as Tekla Structures, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
· In-depth knowledge of steel fabrication processes, codes, and standards.
· Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality, accurate drawings.
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, architects, and project managers.
· Relevant certification or degree in drafting, structural engineering, or a related field is preferred.
