A growing low voltage systems company located in Orange is looking for an experienced Service Technician for Structured Cabling, Phone Systems, Audio/Video, Nurse Call systems, Surveillance, and Access Control. We service Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside, & San Diego Counties. Currently hiring System and Service Technicians with experience in the commercial and hospital environment. Qualified candidates will send an updated resume for consideration.

The candidate should have the following experience/qualifications:

Required:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience installing and configuring building systems in a commercial environment.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience installing Category 5e/6 cable, including terminations of jacks and patch panels.
• Basic understanding of Network Structure and the OSI model.
• Must have own basic telecom tools including Punch Tool, Snips, Wire Strippers, Cordless Drill, etc. (a list of required tools will be provided)
• Willing to travel to Southern California job sites.

Preferred:

• Certified training completion in one of the following systems: QSYS Level 1, Avigilon, OpenPath, Verkada, Door King or Tech Works
• 2+ years’ experience installing and servicing Audio, Video and Automation systems.
• 2+ years’ experience with VOIP phone systems and technology (Allworx a plus)
• Microsoft Excel and Word proficiency
• Nurse call, Structured Cabling and Access Control experience (commercial and/or hospital work environment)
• Industry Related Certifications
• Able to read, follow, and understand blueprints.
• Being able to lift up to 70lbs.
• Must be capable of interacting with the client and relaying important information to the Service Manager.
• Strong work ethic, punctuality and attendance, excellent customer service, and interpersonal skill
• Experience troubleshooting network issues including duplicate IP addresses, no DHCP server, multiple DHCP servers, packet capture
• Previous experience with one or more of the following systems: Allworx, Avigilon, Critical Alert, Openpath, Savant, Verkada.

Job Duties include but not limited to:

• Installing and troubleshooting network cabling in a commercial or hospital environment
• Installing and configuring building systems including Access Control, Surveillance, Audio/Video, Phone and Network Systems.
• IP Camera installation, WAP installation, Card Access Systems
• Troubleshooting & Terminating Data and Phone Jacks
• Testing and certifying system cables
• Rack and stack work, closet work, putting together server racks, patch panels
• Understand color codes.
• Installing support structures (ladder rack, racks, j-hooks)

Salary negotiable.

Drug Testing may be required.

COVID Vaccination, Negative TB test and Flu shot may also be required for some job sites.
