About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP, Global Government Relations and Public Policy with a focus on EU Affairs. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing a comprehensive policy, regulatory, and advocacy strategy to mitigate risks, advocate for business interests, and raise awareness of positive initiatives. This role is pivotal in engaging with Brussels-based European Union institutions, including the European Parliament and the European Commission, and requires a deep understanding of how EU and Member State policies intersect. The VP will be expected to identify and monitor regulatory developments, provide strategic insights, and lead advocacy efforts to ensure the company's positions are effectively represented. Building and maintaining relationships with a wide range of external and internal stakeholders, including policymakers, regulators, and industry bodies, is a key aspect of the role. Candidates for this position should have extensive experience in a relevant role within EU institutions, a strong network of contacts, and expertise in the legislative and regulatory processes. A background in law is preferred, and experience in competition issues, particularly in the media, entertainment, and sports sectors, is highly valued. The role demands exceptional communication skills, the ability to work across diverse cultures, and a proactive, entrepreneurial approach.
